On May. 29-30th, 2019, AICM delegation attended food contact material experts review round table meeting in Beijing. The meeting invited government experts, industry associations and enterprise representatives to discuss and determine the management direction of China's food safety standard system, as well as the revision task of food contact plastic, paint, rubber standards.AICM organized seven representatives from six member companies to attend the meeting. Dr. Zhu lei, national food safety risk assessment center, first introduced the key and difficult problems and proposed solutions of the current standard system, and the participating experts discussed the management direction and solutions. The next step will be further sorted out and determined by the secretariat. Subsequently, the drafting experts reported the current progress of standards revision, and proposed several key technical issues for experts to discuss. AICM will continue to work closely with CFSA and drafting experts to support the revision of standards.
