On Oct 22,2020, MIIT working group on electrical and electronics products pollution prevention standards held technical review meeting on industry standards "Risk Assessment Guidelines for hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products" in Shenzhen. CESI, standard drafting team and experts attended the review meeting. AICM, supporting the development of the standard was also invited to the meeting. Ms. Jiuni Shu, performance chemical sub-committee co-chair and Ms. He chang, IPAC manager, attended the meeting on behalf of AICM.

Ms. Guo Li first introduced the background and revision process of this standard. This standard was a revision to its 2014 version to incorporate industry changes and development. Experts and representatives discussed contents in the standard with focus on terms and definitions, risk identification regarding material, design and supplier, and risk analysis and evaluation. AICM will further monitor standard development in electronic industry, and contribute practical experiences for better implementation.
