On December 23, the Working Group on Pollution Prevention and Control Standards for Electrical and Electronic Products, MIIT held an expert review meeting in Beijing to discuss and review the "Guidance for management and assessment of hazardous substances in electrical and electronics products" . Fifteen experts from the industry attended the meeting. As a member of the standard working group, AICM was invited to attend the review meeting.
This standard is a recommended industry standard, which is to implement China's "Administrative Measures for the Restrictive Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products", and to provide practical guidelines for the implementation of hazardous substances control and evaluation. At the review meeting, the drafting group first introduced the background, process and main technical contents of the standard formulation. Subsequently, the expert group discussed the comments collected in the previous round and had detailed discussion on the technical parts of the standard.
In the next step, the drafting team will make necessary amendments based on the recommendations of the expert review meeting to form a draft for approval, and formally submit this standard for approval. AICM will continue to monitor the progress of regulations and standards in the electronics industry, contribute scientific and practical experience, and improve the practicability of standards.
