Objectives:

Ensure that AICM fulfills Responsible Care^® commitment;

Support the implementation of Responsible Care^® practices among all AICM companies;

Promote Responsible Care^® and other globally-recognized chemical management principles among all stakeholders along the value chain;

Promote Responsible Care^® in order to build awareness and understanding in the public;

Support building up a positive image of the chemical industry.

Functions:

Promote Responsible Care^® in China to help Chemical Parks and local companies to improve their chemical management procedures;

Enhance member-companies' capabilities through RC codes training and workshops, as well as, encourage the sharing of best practices among memberships;

Support member-companies in seeking solutions for common issues experienced throughout the chemical industry;

Participating in Responsible Care^® activities at the regional and global levels;

Work together with IPAC to advocate cost effective, science-based and risk-reducing policies with policy makers.

Objectives:

Advocate science-based chemical industry policies and risk-based regulation systems to promote the sustainable development of China's chemical industry;

Monitor the updates of China's chemical industry policies and regulations to assist in member companies’ understandings, implementation and communication with the authorities;

Facilitate the international exchanges and collaborations on chemical industry policies and regulations for the purpose of harmonization.

Functions:

Enhance cooperation and communication with relevant policy makers and other stakeholders on chemical industry policies and regulations;

Provide comments and proposals on policies, laws, regulations and standards of China's chemical industry development on behalf of member companies' the member-companies' interests;

Monitor and inform member companies' concerning the member-companies concerning updates and trends of policies, laws, regulations and standards of China's chemical industry;

Create exchange platforms that bridge the international and domestic chemical industry, facilitate the sharing of experiences in international chemical policies and regulations.
