AICM jointly organized a series of safety salons with Zhenjiang New Area New Material Industrial Park (ZNMIP) since 2019. The safety salon aims to improve the safety management of chemicals by sharing the best practices and introducing good management methodology addressing to the local companies’ weakness and difficulties encountered during operations. In summary, such activities received enthusiastic welcome and consistent recognition from local.
Thus, AICM was invited to kick-off the 2nd round of safety salon on September 15. AICM RCC chair Mr. Xiao Li, RCC deputy chair Kevin Li, and AICM PSM expert Jenny Yang supported this activity.
First, Ms. Liu Hongling, vice director of ZNMIP made opening speech and hosted the salon. Kevin Li introduced the concept, scope and importance of MI (machine integrity) in an organization, than then presented the various models of management system, and elaborated the cases in the end. After that, Jenny Yang presented practices from Lubrizol on work permit management and how to avoid compliance risk by designing the permit format. During the session, we had an intense discussion on practices of GB 30871 with audients.
Last but not least, Mr. Xiao Li shared the best practices of BASF on integration of legislative requirements with internal management system and how to avoid repeated finding and major risk by effective management.
There’re total 50 enterprises and nearly 100 company’s representatives joined this salon. The activity ended successfully by exchanging the opinions with participants on how to deal with the challenges after “3.21” explosion.
